Year 9
The focus of Year 9 is helping students interact with the wider community to explore their interests further. This exploration is the beginning steps in preparing for an internship placement later in the year or in Year 10. This includes learning how to secure an internship, participating positively in the internship, completing a real world project and then respectfully ending the internship while remaining connected to established networks.
Year 10
Students are now more familiar with the wider community they live in and can identify possible locations to explore their interests. They will have already completed shadow days and many will have completed their first internship. The internship programme continues in earnest with all students gaining an internship with a mentor who shares their interest.
