Year 7 

Year 7s are new to both the secondary environment, their peers and the Big Picture Learning (BPL) design.  In short Year 7 is about forming new relationships with their school, their peers and their learning.   

The focus is very much about developing relationships with people – between students and between staff/students as well as developing an understanding of themselves as learners. 

Year 8 

In Year 8, the focus shifts to developing a relationship with their school and the BPL design.  This involves learning about how the design can help them achieve any future goal they may have and how they can maximise the potential of the design to become an effective learner. Importantly, students develop a strong sense of what interests them and how this interest can assist their growth as a learner.
