Big Picture students are motivated, independent, resourceful learners.   

Every year, Big Picture students:

• identify and explore interests.

• meet with their full learning plan team at least four times a year to create a personalised learning plan

• use the Big Picture learning goals to develop their work.

• read extensively.

• complete real world projects utilising support from external mentors.

• regularly ‘leave school to learn’ by attending excursions, doing external course work and completing internships.

• have a positive impact on their community by participating in at least one service learning activity.

• develop their autobiography.

• build an online portfolio of their work.

• exhibit publicly four times a year.

• reflect regularly on their learning.

• use calendars and other planning tools to plan their time.

• take responsibility for their learning.

• take advantage of opportunities that present themselves.
