The 20017 RAC bstreetsmart was an all-round eye opener. The sheer number of secondary students was amazing. There were thousands of students from hundreds of schools all at Perth Arena. I was very impressed with the maturity and behaviour of our Year 10’s. The day started with a realistic re-enactment of a car crash.

Advisory 9.3 excursion by Kate. On the 13 March 2017 we went on an Advisory excursion. I enjoyed looking at the different types of sculptures and hanging out with my Advisory. We met at McDonalds and made our way to the train station. After a train ride we walked to the sculptures by the sea. I had fun taking pictures and learning about the art.

On Monday 20th February, our Year seven students started swimming lessons by the Department of Education at the City of Gosnells Leisure World in Thornlie. All of our students were very excited and had been looking forward to this since the beginning of the school year. Learnign to swim is an essential skill.

Year 8 science this semester it’s all about the rocks. Not rock and roll but rocks and earth science. Our rock superstars have been learning about sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic rocks. This week we had a lot of fun investigating the crystalline structures of rocks under the microscope and this has put a smile on everyone’s dial.

Welcome to Term 2 report from the Yule Brook College Clontarf Academy. This term has started off at a cracking pace. We still have a super busy term ahead with the following camps and excursions that play a vital role, not only as a reward for the boys commitment to school attendance and behaviour but also to for further self-development and life skills.
