Vaccination and ambulance cover

Welcome back to the new school year. I hope that everyone enjoyed the holidays. If a student has developed a medical condition or had a medical condition change significantly, please contact the school and let us know. Please don’t hesitate to call me if you have any comments or questions or wish to discuss something.

Year 8 vaccination programme

The Department of Health is offering a free immunisation programme for Year 8 students in 2017. The programme offers booster doses of childhood vaccinations, as well as an additional vaccine for protection against human papillomavirus (HPV). Students in Year 8 have received an information pack already, containing details of the programme and a consent form for parents to sign. Parents must sign this consent form even if it is a NO consent and return the consent form for their children to participate in this free programme (or not). For more information and to watch a video about the vaccination programme visit:

If you have not received a consent form please contact me at Yule Brook College.

Ambulance cover

Just a reminder to all parents that staff at the college will call an ambulance when they feel that there is a need, irrespective of whether the student has ambulance cover or not. The responsibility of meeting the cost of the ambulance travel is the parent/caregiver. I would urge all families to investigate if they are covered and if not to join a health fund to be covered for ambulance services.

Please don’t hesitate to call me if you have any comments or questions or wish to discuss something.
